We invite you to attend or be a sponsor of our exciting event, the 24th Annual “Innovative” Progressive Dinner. This event supports agricultural education in Santa Cruz County and the Pajaro Valley. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s Progressive Dinner will be a gourmet, take-out dinner. We will still have an online auction, an option to pair the dinner with a local wine, and each guest will be treated with a large bag and box of locally-grown produce. The event will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020, 3:30-5:30pm at Casserly Hall in Watsonville.
Agri-Culture is an educational organization. Our purpose is to educate the public about agriculture in Santa Cruz County and the Pajaro Valley. Our best-known educational program is titled “Focus Agriculture.” We select 21 high-profile community leaders for a nine-month course about all aspects of farming in this area. It is a first-in-the-nation program and won a prestigious national award. We also produce videos about local agriculture. These videos are provided to libraries and schools. One of our videos also won a national award. Our programs for school children are varied, such as poster and poetry contests. We provide scholarships to students majoring in an agriculture–related field.
