Russell the Brussels Sprout came out of retirement

A sold out crowd walked the red carpet at the World Premiere of Agri-Culture’s video, “Santa Cruz County Agriculture.”  The event was held at Cabrillo College’s Horticultural Center on April 21^st. Guest were greeted by walking fruits and vegetables including, Russell the Brussels Sprout who is best known for his appearance at the old Brussels Sprouts Festival at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. 

All of the stars of the video (local growers) were on hand to autograph the DVD.  The event food served kept with the theme: hot dogs, popcorn, nachos, slushies and a full candy selection. Barry Jackson of Equinox/Harmony Wine Company also provided complimentary wine and champagne.  A human size bull was seen among those attending.
